Dr. Arif Malik, CEO

Dr. Malik has headed MicroDiscovery GmbH since it was founded in 2000. Together with his co-founders, he has turned MicroDiscovery into an efficient bioinformatics company that develops innovative solutions for the life sciences industry. Dr. Malik studied Biology and Computer Science. He received his doctor's degree in Biology from Berlin's Freie Universität and his degree in Computer Science from Berlin's Technische Universität. Prior to the establishment of MicroDiscovery, he headed an international trading company, and worked as a bioinformatics scientist at the Benjamin Franklin Clinic and the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics in Berlin.

Dr. Johannes Schuchhardt, CSO

Dr. Schuchhardt is co-founder of MicroDisovery and has been head of the Bioinformatics Department from the very beginning. He is responsible for Microarray Consulting and the Data Mining unit and in charge of the company's research projects. Dr. Schuchhardt is also the bioinformatics coordinator for the Human Brain Proteome Project. After studying Physics, Dr. Schuchhardt received his doctor's degree from Kiel University. Before co-founding MicroDiscovery, he coordinated interdisciplinary research projects at the Benjamin Franklin Clinic and at Humboldt University in Berlin.

Dr. Dieter Beule, CTO

Dr. Dieter Beule is co-founder of MicroDisovery and has been head of Software Development from the very beginning. He is responsible for product management and the development of custom solutions. Dr. Dieter Beule studied Physics and received his degree from Berlin's Technische Universität. Before co-founding MicroDiscovery, he worked in interdisciplinary simulation and data-analysis projects at Technische Universität and Humboldt University in Berlin.
