Proteomics

Proteomics provide a better understanding of the pathomechanisms of human diseases. Analysis of different levels of protein expression and modification in healthy and diseased tissues by proteomic approaches are of high value in designing diagnostic applications or a rational therapy. Recently new and promising proteomics technologies in protein profiling, protein-protein interaction and structural biology have been developed. Due to the high amount of data generated, they have to be coupled with bioinformatics applications.
